item upgrading of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades increase an item's main stat and can give it extra benefits, based on the item type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs or Goldwraps for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is a crucial factor in keeping him safe from danger. Although it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it is possible to enhance its defence capabilities in various ways.
Armour is designed to safeguard animals and people from injury or harm from direct physical attack or a variety of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was typically constructed from leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were used as well for military purposes, particularly like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade your armour, but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different level of upgrade, with higher levels of protection requiring more rupees as well as materials.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been put in place, they can't be removed in the event that you own a piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest level of upgrades to your equipment and that you have the required materials to complete them.
For those who want to acquire the necessary upgrade components to upgrade your character, they are available all over Hyrule such as shrines, merchants and even enemies. They are usually marked with the gold circle or blue triangle, and are available in large numbers as you advance through the game. They can appear randomly, however there is a chance that getting certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with more.
It's also worth noting that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade is different but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armor will grant you a high defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks, except magic, making it a powerful weapon for any class.

Weapons
If you want to make your guns distinctive, you can upgrade them by utilizing a variety of unique upgrades. They can increase the damage, alter the weapon's stats in order to adapt to your particular build and even unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, ammo types and more aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon has to be at least a certain level before you can upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade.
There are weapon upgrade components scattered around the world and from enemies and can be purchased from merchants. Upgrade components are a mixture of ingredients that you are able to slot into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to earn an attribute bonus. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and are used for enhancing the base stats of a weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world, or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest, hands, and feet if you plan to play in a melee-based build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some procs may be better than others, based on your style of play. Armour is the same, with certain Reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled, no further upgrades will be made for the item. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the amount of gold they normally cost to create or buy however they may have extra benefits.
A magical item can be any item with special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but some are also armor, shields, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other objects. Some of these items are telepathic.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded to become equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players or help them to overcome a difficult situation. A weapon that is infused with a special substance might offer, for instance, an extra level of damage to a particular kind of enemy. This is especially useful for characters who have reached a stage at which they'll likely encounter the same type of monster repeatedly in dungeons.
A ring with an infusion could grant the ability to resist piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks (not including silver-plated ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This is especially useful for melee fighters or any person who wishes to avoid buying a shield.
Certain items enchanted by magic have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to the ones on their class's list of spells. This can be useful for characters that have difficulties keeping their spell slots full because of multiclassing. These items with enchanted abilities generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use, and the spell cast is determined by rolling a table based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other items that can be enchanted may let the user change their appearance, or create a new appearance. They can be especially useful for characters who have had to leave their home, or are in a situation where they might not be accepted. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment which isn't part of the categories of Clothing or Armor and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, in contrast to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that players can activate while using them. However, some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating a skill.
Generally, the most common type of utilitarian item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section you can quickly create a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are unlocked by Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the standard inventory, players can also unlock additional useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for greater effectiveness.
The majority of utility items give players an advantage in navigation or enhance the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. Sharpening stones, made by a Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, crafted by the Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be utilized by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single utility item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available once you have completed certain engineering, research, or research projects on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping a Grenade Launcher. This allows the player to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
